Sutra Institute of Fine Arts is founded by a wife and husband team, Samata and Anil Kumar Jampala.
Samata graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington (Seattle, USA) with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Samata worked as a Design Engineer for Data I/O, and as a technical writer at Inspira Technologies Pvt. Ltd before deciding to devote her resources to her family. At present, Samata works as a software developer for a prestigious company in Seattle downtown.
Anil received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (Warangal) and a master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Chennai). Following this, he pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA). After receiving his Ph.D, he joined ESCA corporation (which through various acquisitions is now part of GE Power) as a Power Systems Engineer. He has also spent over a decade in Hyderabad's IT sector and was very active in HYSEA and IEEE. Anil was a Vice-President at Satyam Computer Services Ltd. and held leadership position at EMRI and was involved in the design, implementation and national rollout of 108 service. Anil is a Fellow of IEEE, registered Professional Engineer in the state of Washington and has a PMP certification from Project Management Institute . Anil is passionate about innovation, enterpreneurship, leadership and empowering Indian youth to be successful on the global stage.
